3D laser scanning technology is a new type of surveying and mapping technology that integrates multiple high-tech technologies
Territorial Laser Scanning (TLS) is a high-speed laser scanning measurement method that can quickly obtain three-dimensional coordinate data of the surface of the measured object in a large area and with high resolution. It uses a laser beam to scan the target object, and obtains three-dimensional coordinate data of the object by measuring the distance between the laser beam and the surface of the object, as well as the angle information of the laser beam in space.
Principle
Laser beam emission: The laser emits a stable and fixed wavelength laser beam, which is focused into a narrow beam through an optical system and irradiated onto the surface of the target object.
Laser reception and calculation: The energy of the laser beam is absorbed or reflected back by the surface of the object. The laser receiver receives the reflected laser signal and calculates the time difference between the laser beam and the object, thereby obtaining the distance information between the laser and the object.
Comprehensive scanning: By rotating a laser or moving a scanning platform, an object is comprehensively scanned to obtain three-dimensional coordinate data of the entire surface of the object.
Data processing: Using computers to process and analyze this data, generating three-dimensional graphical models or point cloud models of objects.
Technical characteristics
Non contact: No direct contact with the target object is required, avoiding object damage or deformation caused by contact.
Fastness: It can quickly obtain a large amount of data and improve measurement efficiency.
High precision: Measurement data has the characteristic of high precision and can meet various measurement needs.
Application area
3D laser scanning technology has broad application prospects in multiple fields, including:
Autonomous driving and driving assistance field: used for road environment perception, obstacle detection, etc.
Surveying and mapping engineering field: used for highway surveying, terrain surveying, river surveying, railway surveying, etc.
Structural measurement field: used for the renovation and expansion measurement of engineering facilities such as bridge engineering and building engineering, as well as three-dimensional simulation of structures.
In the field of historical architecture and heritage measurement, it is used for high simulation measurement of the interior and exterior of historical buildings, as well as the restoration of cultural relics.
In addition, 3D laser scanning technology is widely used in fields such as architectural surveying, product design, reverse engineering, virtual reality, etc., providing a reliable 3D data foundation for various applications.
