As part of our customer care, we offer a comprehensive programme of training courses designed to prepare your personnel for the operation, preventative maintenance and minor repair of simple machine problems. These programs provide various levels of instruction to meet the needs of both your team and the industry.





Operator Training

Instructor-led training with hands-on experience. Courses provide instruction on how to operate the product, so that you may safely operate and maintain the equipment at its full potential.

Topics include overview and features; components; operation; restoration of operation; and preventative maintenance. End-of-course exam follows for successful completion and certification.


 

Train-The-Trainer

Instructor-led training designed to prepare your Instructors to provide Operator training to staff at your company. This class provides the knowledge and skills for a potential instructor to deliver operator training internally to help manage your internal training costs.

A trainer who successfully completes the course will be authorized to train operators within his/her own company only. Prerequisite: Instructor Led Operator Training must have been completed within the past 18 months.


Technical Course

Instructor-led training with hands-on experience. Courses provide our customers instruction on how to fix simple machine problems, an overview of the system, knowledge to perform daily and weekly Preventative Maintenance and basic operational procedures.

This certificate will authorize you to perform basic maintenance of the equipment to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. It does not authorize the customers to perform monthly PM and CM (corrective maintenance) of the equipment as that is reserved for Smiths personnel and our contracted Service Providers.


Online Operator Re-Certification

Web-based re-certification course designed for those who are already certified by Smiths Detection to operate the equipment. Participants will review operational topics specific to the equipment and then complete an end-of course exam for successful completion and re-certification. Certificates provided upon successful completion.

Prerequisite: Instructor Led Operator Training completed within the past 12 months.
